Is it really free?
Yes. DNS Dingo has no paid plans. Every feature listed above is available to everyone at no cost, and there is nothing to buy anywhere on this site.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to run a lookup. Signing in with Google is optional and only exists so your lookup history follows you between devices.
Why is there still a daily limit?
Each lookup sends real queries to DNS servers around the world. The 500-per-day cap keeps the service fast and available for everyone. If you need more, get in touch and tell us what you are building.
What happens when I reach the limit?
Lookups pause until the counter resets the next day. Nothing is charged and nothing is locked permanently.
I used to see Pro and Business plans. What happened?
They were retired in September 2026 and everything they included is now part of the free tier. Nobody was ever charged for DNS Dingo, so there was nothing to refund or cancel.
How does the API work?
Sign in and an API key is available from your dashboard, which lets you run lookups programmatically against the same daily allowance.
